Change is Coming

David's Journal 2 Comments

Baby Boomers were born between 1946 and 1964. There are approximately 75 million of them in America alone.

Population has always increased over the years, but the Baby Boomer generation is unique. Due to the World Wars, there were significantly fewer births just before 1946 — and the birth rate slowed down significantly after 1964, due to the popularization of birth control. This makes one large lump of people in society, all in the same general age group, all progressing through the stages of life at approximately the same time.

Here’s what makes this relevant today.

Explore. Dream. Discover.

David's Journal No Comments

Hmm… this sounds a little familiar. :)  This showed up in my inbox this morning:

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Time is a Mystery

David's Journal 1 Comment

Time is a Mystery, but She cannot keep her Secrets from Me.

I’m gonna do it.

But beyond that, I’m going to do a great many things.

Change lives — starting with my own. Touch the world — starting in my own heart. Make a difference — first in my own soul.

Trust. Connect. Grow. Expand.

Become more.

Do more.

Be more.

Have more.

Expand more.

Do the Impossible.

Over and over again, throughout my life.

I will do the Impossible.

I will be known as the man who pushed the limits — starting with his own — and did the once-called “Impossible.”

Several times, throughout his life.

Over and over again.

The Man Who Did the Impossible.

Because that’s who I am — one of my many forms, one of my many expressions, one way I choose to be.

Today, and always.

Time is a Mystery.

But Mysteries can be solved.

I am one Who Does The Impossible.

Fear Me, oh Fear, and get Not In My Way. I will Conquer you, as I have Conquered myself, and I will overcome all that stands in my way between here and the chosen Destiny.

Nothing is Impossible.

Not for Me. Not Any More. Not for the Things I Choose to Make Real.

Destiny is calling.

I hear Her call.

And I answer, “Yes! I’m coming!”

The Journey Begins Today.

Namaste, my friends,
David Michaels

Fitting In, Finding Love, and Reminders of Home

David's Journal 2 Comments

Sometimes I feel like such an alien in this world.

No matter how hard I try, no matter what I do … I never feel like I quite fit in. I mean, I have many friends and they’ve always made me feel welcome. They’ve always shown their love, support, caring, friendship… But, where do I belong?

All my life, I’ve never quite felt like I was “one of” anything or anyone. Not in my religion, or in school, or at work, or even among friends. It’s not their fault. Like I said, they’ve always invited and welcomed me in. And to a point, I do feel like I belong. To a point, I do fit in. But only to a point.

When I was a teenager, I was told that “everybody feels like they’re different,” and that nobody feels like they quite fit in.

Unseen, Undone

David's Journal No Comments

Just because I haven’t seen it done before, does that mean it can’t be done?

Just because no one else ever has done it before, does that mean it still can’t be done?

Everything ever done, at some point, was done for the first time.

How did the Wright Brothers have the vision to know human flight was possible? How did the engineers at NASA believe a moon landing could be a success? Henry Ford and the combustible engine? Thomas Edison and the electric light bulb? And countless other inventions, discoveries, and feats of human strength and power previously thought impossible, previously never ever seen or done?

Finally Free

David's Journal No Comments

I’m finally free … and all along, I had the key.

I feel like a millionaire, even though my bank account has yet to fully agree. :)
