Mark Twain’s Top 9 Tips for Living a Kick-Ass Life

Mark Twain’s Top 9 Tips for Living a Kick-Ass Life“It’s no wonder that truth is stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.”

“Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry.”

“When your friends begin to flatter you on how young you look, it’s a sure sign you’re getting old.”

You may know Mark Twain for some of his very popular books like Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. He was a writer and also a humorist, satirist and lecturer.

Twain is known for his many – and often funny – quotes. Here are a few of my favourite tips from him.

Twitter

10 minutes ago, I had no idea what Twitter was.  I just knew a lot of people on and off-line talked about it.  Like everyone had a Twitter account.

So I went to the site.  See what it was all about.  I signed up.  And … now what?

I updated my status.  I said something like I “just signed up on twitter for the first time.”  Yay me.  Woohoo.  So, um, now what?

Wish List

I want…

1. A webcam.  It needs to be good quality and record audio, so I can put myself on YouTube.  I don’t know what I’d say or why I need to be on YouTube, I just get a really strong intuitive drive to do *something* if I ever had the means.

2. A bike.  Because it feels great to be outside, get fresh air, and exercise too.  And I don’t see myself holding onto (or needing) a car for much longer.

3. A girlfriend.  Someone special.  Someone loving and loveable.  Someone beautiful.  Someone who inspires me.  Someone I inspire.  Someone who, when we’re together, we bring out the best in each other, share many laughs and good times, and grow close together in spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical intimacy and unconditional love for each other.

4. Financial freedom.  I’d like to start with $8,000/month in cashflow from business and/or investment income.  I also want $10,000 cash in the bank to spend and share however I want.

5. Rest.  I’m exhausted and burnt out.  I’m not recovering.  I need rest.  Desperately.

6. The chance and ability to make people’s lives better.  I prefer to do this mostly in person.  I want to be a positive change in their lives.  Not a leader or guru or great teacher — just a friend who’s learned a few things, shares them, and together we grow and become better, happier, healthier, richer, and more fulfilled and personally alive people.

7. Peace.  Rest.  Connection.  Fulfillment.  Feeling alive and purposeful, even when I’m not busy “doing” something.  To honestly value and love myself, even if I’m not performing, not producing, or not creating.  To let myself “just be,” not always have to be working, and still feel I’m just as worthy and deserving of love and acceptance as anyone else, or when I am busy working.

8. My own place.  A nice, safe, clean, comfortable, enjoyable one-bedroom apartment is fine.  Just a space to call my own.  My own space.  My own life.  And good, energizing spiritual energy there too. :)

Thank you,
David

I need your feedback. Please & Thank you! :)

As some of you already know, I’m putting together a new product for my Spiritual Smarts business.

They are …
*drum roll please*

.....Pocket Spirit Guides!

.

What’s a Pocket Spirit Guide, you ask?  It’s your own personal audio guide and resource for everything you need to grow spiritually and personally. They’re designed to be powerful and life-transforming audio courses that teach you how to apply the law of attraction, fine-tune your intuition, talk with angels, develop psychic powers, learn spiritual discernment, experience oneness with God and the entire universe, and a whole lot more.

In addition to specializing in each area of spirituality and direct experience, I’ll also cover topics for other meaningful areas of life too, like how to improve relationships, communication, finances, creativity, etc.  Basically touching on all the other areas of life, so we can have a full, balanced, healthy, enjoyable, and meaningful life.

Right now I’m planning on offering them as individual CDs.  Pick a topic you want, buy just that CD, and get started right away. :)  I may also be offering guided meditations, too.  And other stuff like that.

And of course, everything will be honest and straight from the heart.  No fluff.  No hype or outrageous claims about manifesting winning the lottery overnight without even buying a ticket, or anything like that.  hehe.  I want to keep it real.  Because that’s where God is.  That’s where truth and power is.

an incomplete, but good start, list

.

1. Never laugh at anyone’s dreams.  Especially your own.

2. Love deeply & passionately. You might get hurt, but it’s the only way to live life completely.

3. Don’t judge people by their relatives.

4. Remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, has lost something, and wants something.

Real Life Lottery Winner

Sure, we all dream about it … but what if you actually won the lottery?

What would you do with all that time, with all that money?  Imagine, you’ve hit the multi-state mega millions super duper powerball jackpot.  You never have to work again.  That new house you wanted?  No problem.  And add a HDTV, surround sound, DVD collection, and favorite video game console while you’re at it.  And a nice new car.  Heck, two or three.  Heck, give all your friends and family a nice new car too!

But … then what?

Words from Steve Jobs

“You’ve got to find what you love,” Jobs says.

Steve Jobs, famous CEO of Apple Computers and Pixar Animation, was invited to give a commencement speech to Stanford University graduates on June 12, 2005.  This is a copy of what he felt was important to say:

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I’ve ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That’s it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.
